Re: What does this mean?

Why did he write "je vous tiendrais au courant" and not "je vous tiendrai au courant' for the I'll keep you informed bit?

The fact that an opinion has been widely held is no evidence whatever that it is not utterly absurd; indeed in view of the silliness of the majority of mankind, a widespread belief is more likely to be foolish than sensible.

Actually, Norman, I don't think his written French is a lot better than mine!Devil [6]

I have found some quite fundamental errors in his messages.....

What's happened to Norman, he's gone all up one side?  Did the barrel roll into something?  Frchmt.

Oh, Christine, not you as well!

No more txt-speak, please.....I can't keep up.

Yes, Norman, what's the new avatar or have you gone all coy on us?

Edit:  on second thought, is that franchement?

Re: What does this mean?

The new Avatar is me...Cool [8-|]
I was playing Eugene Marchbanks  in Shaw's Candida a few years back (a good few years back in fact...)

The reading lamp is on the mantelshelf above Marchbanks, who is sitting on the small chair reading aloud from a manuscript. A little pile of manuscripts and a couple of volumes of poetry are on the carpet beside him. Candida is in the easy chair

It's only half because I cut out the other person as I have no way of asking her if she minded  being shown.
