How to say "everyone"

Hi all,

I'm pretty sure I learned in French class long ago
that the word for everyone is "tous" or alternatively
"tout le monde".

However nowadays I see chacun / chacune
when I use translation websites e.g. Babel fish.

Which is more correct?

Thanks.

Re: How to say "everyone"

They are both valid and it depends on the context.

tout le monde = everybody
tous = all
chacun/chacune = each (of us) - more emphatic
