Indeed, he might have said that, Chancer but I think that possibly he shortened it to joint for pity of my incomprehension.

Anyway, the other car also seems to be suffering from joint problems (sign of age as in humans) so when I go to collect the car, I will tell him that this other bagnole also has a problem with its joint de couvre coulasse and, if he understands, I will know which phrase to use next timeSmile [:)]
