Bringing a French tractor into Britain

We are intending to bring our Deutz-Fahr farm tractor, purchased new in France in 2005, back to Britain this winter. Has anyone done this manoeuvre? We have the carte grise of course, and I'd like to re-register it in the UK. Are there any special formalities to watch out for?

Any advice or pointers to existing threads gratefully received. Thanks.

I would think that the first place to seek info would be DVLC or whatever they call themselves these daze? They should have all the gen.

You're absolutely right, and I will shortly either ring them or use their email enquiry service - just wondered if anyone here had actually done it before and could offer a few thoughts....
