Is your house in danger?

With climate change and or drought it seems that some 4,000,000 houses could be in danger of cracking or much worse. Is your area concerned? Maybe worth finding out.

Re: Is your house in danger?

A very old extension to our house has a very large exterior crack. The walls inside that part of the house have also started to fissure..

This has been happening for a few years now.

This spring I chopped/had chopped down a few trees in the vicinity of that part of the house.

Everything seems to have stabilised.

What happens is that the tree roots sap out all the moisture from an already very very dry soil.

But yes, this is a very big problem in France at the moment. Especially with new builds.

Buy wisely anyone moving to France.

Not that you can buy anymore due to Brexit. LOL.
