We sold a yacht brokerage, and a short while later the new owner told me he had received a request to make an offer on behalf of a prospective buyer for a yacht with an asking price of over one million pounds.
It made him so nervous he simply ignored the request. Totally out of his depth.
Less than a year after he bought the business, he "did a runner", leaving many people, including ourselves, out of pocket.
He had borrowed the money to buy it from a probably gullible female partner, so was not really committed.
On some great and glorious day the plain folks of the land will reach their heart's desire at last, and the White House will be adorned by a downright moron.
